I got the oil changed on my BMW 2008 K1200 GT last week, and after I got home, Dan called to tell me to check the bolt that secures the shift lever. David told him that he had a nagging feeling that he had not tightened it after the oil change. Sure enough, when I checked, it was only hanging there by a thread -- literally. I tightened it, and there was no harm done. Hey, everyone slips up occasionally, and I really appreciated the quick heads-up this time before any bad things happened.
